The Gujarat State Football Association (GSFA) has successfully completed the AFC U-17 Qualifiers in Ahmedabad, delivering a smooth and professionally managed tournament that drew appreciation from teams, officials, and supporters. After five matchdays held on 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 November, India topped the group and secured qualification for the AFC U-17 Final Rounds scheduled for May 2026 in Saudi Arabia.

The competition featured five nations — Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Chinese Taipei and India — competing in a round-robin format. India’s consistent performances, backed by strong preparation and home support, ensured their place in the next stage of the continental championship.

GSFA’s Local Organising Committee (LOC) played a central role in the event’s success, overseeing venue management, team coordination, broadcast operations and matchday logistics. The association upheld AFC standards across all operational areas, reflecting its growing capability to host high-level international events.

A special acknowledgement goes to the volunteers, whose dedication and on-ground involvement were vital to the tournament’s smooth execution. Their efforts contributed significantly to the positive experience for teams and spectators.

With the qualifiers concluded, India now looks ahead to the 2026 finals in Saudi Arabia, carrying momentum and confidence from a successful campaign.
