GSFA’s AGM: Road-map for Development of Football in Gujarat Discussed:
Gujarat State Football Association (GSFA)’s annual general meeting (AGM) was held in Ahmedabad on Friday,the 9th September.
Large number of office bearers and district representatives from across the State attended the meeting which was chaired by GSFA president, rajya Sabha member and director (corporate affairs) of Reliance Industries Shri Parimal Nathwani.
The AGM was preceded by the Executive Committee meeting. the meeting unanimously passed the audited accounts and secretary’s annual report.
GSFA Secretary Shri Mulrajsinh Chudasma presented the progress report.
Those who remained present included vice presidents Shri Pradipsinh Vaghela,Shri Arunsinh Rajput, Shri Gunvantbhai Delawala and Shri Hanif Ginwala, besides the treasurer Shri Mayank Buch.
Shri Pradeep Dav – Mayor of Rajkot was felicitated as he joined the Executive Committee.
The members greeted their President Shri Nathwani ji for steering the massive 33-1 victory of Shri Kalyan Chaubey ji as President of the parent body AIFF.
Shri Chaubey’s candidature was proposed by GSFA.
In turn Shri Parimal Nathwani ji felicitated Shri Mulrajsinh Chudasama by presenting the flower bouquet for coordinating the events leading to the victory of Shri Chaubey.
The AGM discussed to begin grassroots activities & AIFF golden baby league football for 6 to 12 years’ age group in all districts of the State.
It was also decided to provide AC class journey to the State teams travelling outside Gujarat for Nationals.
The GSFA also decided in the meeting to participate & Organise all programs & activities suggested by national federation the AIFF.
Many more decisions taken to smoothly take developmental steps.
A typical ‘football cake’ was cut at the hands of Shri Nathwani ji during lunch after which the members dispersed with a commitment to take football in Gujarat to the next higher level.
